Mission: The mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Hastings is to make a positive difference in the lives of youth by matching them with a caring adult mentors for additional guidance and support.

Programs/Services Provided: Big Brothers Big Sisters of Hastings provides mentoring services through two program options. Mentors spend one hour a week with a much deserving child, building trust and offering guidance.
How United Way Funds are used: United Way funds are used to support the Community-based and Site-based programs throughout South Central Nebraska
Community-based Program The Community-based program allows mentors and mentees to meet throughout the community. This allows for scheduling flexibility and involves high involvement from parents. Impact Area: Education
Site-based Program: The Site-based program allows mentors to meet with youth during the school day at one of nine elementary school sites. This option offers schools an additional option to provide support for students with high potential but need additional support. Impact Area: Education
