Mission: The mission of Catholic Social Services is to perform the Works of Mercy within the Family of God across Southern Nebraska.

Programs/Services Provided: Catholic Social Services provides individual and family counseling services, family support services in the form of emergency assistance to families needing food, clothing, furniture, medicine and/or help with rent or utilities, supportive housing services of domestic violence and immigration and refugee services.
How United Way Funds are used: United Way funds provide assistance for utilities, rent, food, clothing, gas vouchers for work or medical, medicine, and charity grants for counseling. We work closely with families to assess the immediate need, provide assistance through the crisis, and help families reach and maintain self-sufficiency.
Family Support Services Program: The goal of the Family Support Services Program is to assess the nees of each family or individual coming to Catholic Social Services for help and assist the applicant in developig a short term plan to resolve their immediate financial crisis and a long term plan to prevent a future crisis. Catholic Social Services Clinical Program: The Clinical Program is a comprehensive community based mental health service delivery system directed toward the Catholic community; however, services are available to anyone desiring Christian mental health assistance. Impact Area: Health
Harvard Summer Food Program: The Harvard Summer Food Program serves very low income families, families at Harvard Public Schools who qualify for the free or reduced lunch program. The goal of the program is to provide adequate nutrition to low income families and fill the gap during the summer months. Impact Area: Income
