2nd Annual Wine & Dime for the United Way

October 6, 2011

Lochland Country Club

5:30pm-7:00pm

Join the United Way for the 2nd Annual Wine & Dime on October 6th, 2011 at 5:30pm at Lochland Country Club.  Event will include wine tasting, a bountiful display of hors d'oeuvres, and a live performance by Ramon Diaz de Leon "Brown" who created the United Way's 2011-2012 Campaign Song and Big Red Anthem.  Experts from Superior Estates Winery, Mac's Creek Vineyard, and 3 Brother's Vineyard will be in attendance to provide information about the wines featured and providing a limited amount of wines for purchase.  

 

Ticket Prices:

1 Ticket for $50.00

6 Tickets for $250.00

All proceeds will go to the United Way of South Central Nebraska.

1st Annual Day of Service
August 27, 2011

Over 300 volunteers gathered in the Hastings Community and completed service projects on August 27, 2011.  Service projects included: painting, landscaping, packing sack lunches, sorting donated goods, and facility beautification.  Volunteers were able to pick which projects best met their needs and interests.  This was a way for the United Way to say "thank you" to the Hastings Community for all of their support and gifts.  We are hoping to make this an annual event and grow the volunteer base.
